Crace Collection of Maps of London

A guide through the history of London: some 1200 printed and hand-drawn maps charting the development of the city and its immediate vicinity from around 1570 to 1860.

Maps of Great Britain – Ordnance Survey 1:10,560 Epoch 1

From the 1840s, the Ordnance Survey began mapping Britain at the scale of six inches to the mile (1:10,560). From 1854, cultivated and inhabited areas were mapped at the scale of 1:2,500 (25.344 inches to the mile). The complete 1:10,560 series is in the collection (Epoch 1).

Ordnance Survey Ireland 19th Century Maps

Mainly 19th century maps of almost 150 cities, towns, and villages in the Republic of Ireland. Most are Town Plans which were surveyed at either five or ten foot to one mile scale between 1837 and 1896.
